Job Description: Inventory Auditor
Work in the Inventory Service industry is very sporadic. At times, such as the end of the year, we are busy every day, all day. During slow periods, there will be days or weeks between jobs. Because of this, auditors tend to have another part-time job and/or family responsibilities.. Students and teachers are available during our year-end and mid-year busy seasons. Retirees enjoy extra earnings and low physical requirements.
We will work around your schedule. The overwhelming majority of the jobs occur on weekday mornings and afternoons. Auditors must not make last minute schedule changes. While we certainly understand the occasional emergency, we hire only responsible, dependable people. Please do not apply if your life-style requires last minute changes to your availability status.
An inventory auditor is responsible for tallying the value of merchandise using an adding machine-like calculator. "Touch key" (the ability to enter data without looking at the display) experience is preferred but we will train. Direct experience in the Inventory Service Industry is not necessary nor particularly desirable. Applicants with experience from one of the national services are cautioned to be prepared to learn quality workmanship. By necessity, our standards are significantly higher.
We project a professional image. Auditors must be clean and well groomed. Black denim trousers and a white or light blue shirt are best. Tattered or faded clothing is not acceptable. Blue jeans and "novelty" clothing are not appropriate. There should be no text or images on your clothes.
Auditors must kneel to count merchandise located on the back of shelving at floor level. Some light climbing, using a step stool or step ladder, is necessary.
Most of the jobs are located within a 25-mile radius of Akron. We are expanding into the Cleveland and Canton/Massillon markets and are looking for quality people in those areas. Auditors are compensated for excessive travel.
Applicants must be at least eighteen years old.
